it seems, when it comes to understanding the health care situation,
their is a reluctance, to shift gears in Washington D. C. - their like a
little old man who can't get out of first gear. Now the approach
the democrats want to take is, of bigger government, which
despite a majority in the congress and senate is not the American
approach. The American approach is to empower the individual, it
is not to empower the government through a single payer health system.
Arvin seemingly all of this health care issue
could be handled with tax credits, instead of tax increases, and this
would then empower the individual. Individuals who purchased
health insurance would get tax credits and those who did not purchase
insurance would not get such tax credits; companies and employees who
invested in health insurance would get tax credits and those who did not
... would not get such tax credits. Tax credits would get the
money flow, in the right direction - to the individual not the
government. As well, the profits for insurance companies should be based on
merit of competition and not a regulated gimmick. |
