Sallies if I was to decide the Texas textbook
controversy, I'd would go back to the beginning
of textbooks and see how the facts of history
were written, in them. I would look at the
redactions, over the years, and then without
bias, present the truth. Arvin the truth about history is subjective! Take the Alamo for instance: from the Mexican point of view it was the Americans, who were stealing their lands, but from the Texicans point of view, it was that the Mexicans who went back on their agreement. Anyway, I guess the truth is to print, both points of view, without bias. However, the most ridicules point of view, would be to leave out churches and religions from history; what an incomplete look at life that would be: either from an atheistic point of view or a religious point of view. |
